Abstract

Economy of any particular area largely depends on the availability of natural resources within it. Along with the availability of resources, type and nature of the skill of the local people are important in harnessing the resources. Then only the people can make economic gain out of the available natural resources. Any resource indigenous to a particular area may be useful to a person staying miles away for which the indigenous community can make profit by sending it to distant places. Workforce in an area determines the use of the natural resources. It depends on the workforce how they make profit out of the available natural resources. The workforce can be skilled or unskilled. The role of the workforce is to participate in the process of resource harnessing and making economic benefit.
