TECHNOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF SMALL and MEDIUM MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES IN SOUTHEAST NIGERIA
This study examined technological infrastructure and economic performance of Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises (SMEs) in South-East, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the effect of social media on productivity, and assess the effect of customer relationship management (CRM) on market share. The study opted for survey design. The findings revealed that social media had a positive effect on productivity, and customer relationship management had a positive effect on market share. The study affirmed that digital transformation provides a critical pathway to achieving sustainable economic growth, enhancing resilience, and securing a competitive edge in the global business landscape. However, the study proposed that firms need to adopt social media platforms and CRM system so as to increase productivity, expand market share, and enable sustainable business growth.
